People are multi-dimensional, and their experiences and identities cannot be fully captured by a set of checkboxes. Labels based on checkboxes such as race, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, age, etc...... may oversimplify or limit how individuals perceive themselves or how they wish to be identified.
